- Want to work on building your comedy toolbox? Are you looking for meaningful feedback on your material? Or are you interested in getting your start as a standup comic but unsure where to start? Join us for a Five-Week Standup Intensive with Jocelyn Chia! Our 5-week course reviews topics including writing skills & stage presence, joke structures, where to find material, and the basics of crafting a set. The course will conclude with a show at West Side Comedy Club, allowing students to perform their 5-minute set in front of a live audience. Please note: Final Performances are recorded and subject to be used on our social media platforms. All of our instructors are working comics themselves with credits to their name; they are able to speak directly to the industry as it is today.This course is intended for comedians of all levelsAbout Jocelyn Chia: Jocelyn Chia is a Georgetown Law graduate and former M&A attorney, and is now a regular at the best comedy clubs in the world including The Comedy Cellar, Gotham Comedy Club and West Side Comedy Club.She has been featured in Vulture, South China Morning Post, CNN, BBC, New York Times, and the Independent UK.
